What is Money?

  • Bushwick Generator 215 Moore Street Brooklyn, NY (map)

Disclaimer: this is not your average meetup.

Money is governing our relationships and the way we organise since the dawn of civilization.

But do we really know what it is?

We use money every day, but do we know how it all started?

During the session we'll attempt to answer these questions, together.

We'll discover the different stages, forms and functions money went through during the last 5,000 years: from debt-slavery to bitcoin and the rise of cryptocurrencies.

First and foremost we'll try to put back into context the very core concepts and mindset required to understand money and the current structural shift that is happening in society.

The conversation will be spiced up by some mind-blowing realisation moments and hint towards potential future developments of money.

Everyone is welcome: techies, artists, startupers, lawyers, chefs, sociologists, artisans, you name it!

The only thing you need is a curious mind with the thirst that asks: "Why?"
